Match Report for Ely Robins v Lakenheath on Tuesday, August 20.
The game saw the Robins make the trip to "the pit" to take on Lakenheath.
Ely had Bubba Camara available for his debut.
The first half was dominated by the Robins who created numerous chances but were only rewarded with a single goal, courtesy of goal machine and captain Louis Jenkins who slammed home with a nice volley after good work by Jevan Cook.
The home side offered very little in a attacking sense and were lucky to keep the score to 1-0 at the break.
The second half got underway and this score-line didn't last long, the Robins we were awarded a slightly dubious penalty which Jack Friend calmly slotted home.
Things went from bad to worse for the hosts as the referee reduced them to nine men within two minutes, one off for a second yellow card and then a straight red for the same incident.
The Robins got their third goal, thanks to a lovely lob by Jack Friend for his third goal of the season.
It wasn't over yet though, and Louis Jenkins added a fourth to complete the scoring. Jenkins has six goals to his name already this season.
Overall a excellent dominant performance in which the Robins were rarely troubled by the home side.
