Ely Runners Junior section competed in the last of the three Cambridgeshire Open Track meetings at St Ives on July 17.
U17: George Smith (100m, 800m and the mile) personal best and and new club record in the 100m coming home in 13.16.
Harrison Kemp was representing Ely Juniors for the first time at the T & F events. He smashed the 200m club record in 24.49
Ruby Rae-Smith took part in the mile and broke the club record in her age group with a time of 5.58 and she picked up a bronze medal.
U15 age group: Toby Beardon (mile) 5.47.
Caleb Wilson (100m, 200m and the long jump) PB and new club record in the 100m in 12.84 .
Isabella Robinson gained PB’s and club records in the 100m (14.20) and 200m (29.75). She knocked almost two seconds off her 200m time.
Isla Beardon represented Ely Juniors for the first time and took part in the 100m (15.79) and 200m (33.30).
The U13:
Connie Abraham (100m, long jump and the mile) new PB and club record in the 100m (16.31) and 5.57 to set a new club record for the mile.
The U11:
Ted Beardon gained two new PB’s and club records in the 80m (12.62) and 150m (24.22). Ted won both races and looked very strong
Willow Copping (80m and 150m) was representing Ely Juniors at her first ever T & F meeting and gained a new club record in the 150m (25.57).
The sole Senior at the event was Alec Freeman who took part in the 1 Mile County Championships also. He recorded a good time of 4.35
