Ely Tigers made the short trip across the Fens to face Wisbech.
They were again forced into making changes to the squad due to injuries and player unavailability.
The home side took the lead and looked the brighter of the two sides, pushing Tigers back and , Ethan Garford scored, but they were unable to add the conversion.
From the restart, Ely went on the attack and Jim Storey scored after diving over the line and the returning Jake Alsop, back on kicking duties, was able to add the conversion and Tigers took a two-point lead.
A penalty awarded to Tigers saw their second try of afternoon. Alsop was unable to add the conversion from a tough line.
A kick forward by Ely, saw a fumble at the back for Wisbech putting their back-line under pressure.
A kick forward failed to give Wisbech any breathing time as back came Tigers, finally finding Rob Armer to cross the line to score to the left of the post, giving Alsop an easy chance to add the conversion.
Tigers then picked up a bonus point as they scored their fourth try of the afternoon as they kept up the pressure on the home side.
Alfie Ramswell crossed to score, Alsop added the conversion to give a 26-5 half time lead.
The second half was a scrappy, messy game, with neither side able to get a grip. Wisbech put pressure on Tigers, a knock-on gave Tigers the chance to clear, but a penalty against them put the pressure back on themselves.
A line-out to the home side, saw Wisbech camped out on the try line, finally finding the overlap in the corner to score, with a the conversion missed.
Inside the last 10 minutes Tigers went down to 14 as Alsop was shown a yellow card, but during this closing period neither side could add to the scoreline and Tigers ran out 26-10 winners.
