Ely City’s men’s first team were in rampant mood as they thrashed opponents Cambridge City 4ths at the weekend.
Reece Laffar scored a first-half hat-trick and netted another to help Ely win 9-0 away from home in Division Two North West.
Ely 2nds triumphed 5-1 over Cambridge South 5ths in Division Four North West, while the thirds were on the wrong end of a 7-1 defeat.
Liam Goodson’s second half strike was a consolation against Division Five North West leaders Wisbech Town 3rds.
In the ladies’ section, goals from Rhianne Jones and Polly Cooper secured Ely 1sts a 2-0 win over Cambridge South 4ths in Division Three North West.
And there was a goal fest for Ely 2nds when they hammered St Neots 3rds 9-0.
Jo Rayner scored three times, while braces from Sarah Sutton and Sam King plus goals from Molly Shaw and Emily Underwood won the game for Ely in Division Four North West.
In Division Five North West, Piper Froment’s goal earned Ely City 3rds a 1-1 draw with Wisbech Town 4ths.
