The 10is Academy Men's 2s picked up from where they left off last year with a win in Division 10 of the Cambs Dunlop Winter League against Ely Tennis Club 4s.
10is Academy 2's captain Max Wright led by example and, with his partner Jordan Stimson, won four sets, only dropping eight games overall in a solid performance.
Mish Tamber and the ever-improving Ed Fahy also won 4 sets to give 10is Academy 2s a convincing 8-0 win.
Before the Christmas break, the team had won in the derby against Ely Tennis Club 3s, and after a surprising loss to Milton, victory over Ely 4s has boosted the team's chances for promotion.
10is Academy 2s are currently top of the league, level on sets difference to Ely Tennis Club 3s, with one game left to play against seventh-placed Newmarket to try and secure promotion.
Earlier that day, the 10is Academy U14 Boys welcomed Cambourne LTC in the Winter National League Division 1.
Ely's number 1 player Alex had a tough match winning in a third set tiebreak, whilst number 2, Isaac, secured a comfortable win before combing with Alex in the doubles for a flawless victory.
