A Christmas concert in Ely will raise funds for one of the city's churches.

Ely Collegium, known for their choral work in the Cambridgeshire area, will perform at St Peter-in-Ely Church on Friday, December 6.

The concert, organised by Selfmade Music, will feature a range of festive music, including popular pieces like The Holly and the Ivy, O Holy Night, and Carol of the Bells.

Sing-along carols such as Hark the Herald Angels, Silent Night, and God Rest Ye, Merry Gentleman will also be part of the programme.

Dr Susannah Self, music director of the choir, will contribute her own composition, Gaudete, as well as a new Christmas anthem, Hushed Was The Night.

Selfmade Music, run by Ely residents Dr Susannah Self and Michael Christie, is known for raising money for good causes through choral performances.

The concert, which aims to benefit St Peter-in-Ely Church, will start at 7.30pm and is free to attend, although donations are encouraged.

This festive event promises to be a delightful evening for all, supporting a worthy cause.
