On Sunday, the Amazons girls team played their first-ever basketball games in Cambridge against Cambridge Cats and Braintree Blue Devils.
The Amazons did not win, but considering this was for many of the girls their first taste of a real basketball game, the spirits were high and they had a fabulous time. Everyone came away smiling.
Coaches Wawrzyniec Niewodniczanski (aka big H) and Radek Chmielowski did a great job of keeping the morale high and ensuring all the girls were given a fair amount of time on the court to help them develop their skills.
Our girls sessions are open those of all skill levels, aged from 11-17yrs, practice sessions are 6pm-7.15pm on a Monday evenings at Ely College in the sports hall.
