Ely Amateur Dramatic Society is performing Noel Coward's comedy farce Present Laughter at The Maltings from Thursday, October 17 through to Saturday, October 19.
The play follows the "fortunes and misfortunes" of star actor Garry Essendine as he prepares to go on tour, while his colourful life is in danger of "spiralling out of control" as he struggles to keep control of the company around him and his own escalating crisis about his age and ability.
Director and committee member Matt Harvey said: "We wanted a great comedy to round off the year, and what better than Coward’s wickedly funny play.
"The main part was written for Coward himself to play, but over the years many actors have put their own unique twist on the main role of Garry."
The play will be on at 7.30pm on Thursday and Friday, before a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday.
Tickets cost £14 and are available from Burrows Newsagent and online at ticketsource.co.uk/elyamateurdramaticsociety.
