A new bus shelter has been installed in the village of Prickwillow, thanks to local council funding.
This bus shelter is a gift from Ely City Council to the children of Prickwillow who have until recently, been arriving at school cold wet due to the inclement weather.
An initiative for a new shelter was brought forward by Sophie Deltour, the chair of Prickwillow Parish Council, and supported by Cllr Richard Morgan (North Ward City Councillor) through Ely City Council's Climate & Environment Committee.
The city council's CIL committee, and finally full council, ratified the decision in July so that work could go ahead.
