A new charity shop is set to open in Ely next month.
The Arthur Rank Hospice (ARH) will open the retail store at 20-22 High Street on October 8 following the successful launch of its site in March, which opened in June.
The Ely shop joins six other ARH charity shops in Cambridgeshire, in addition to the charity's retail hub and retail outlet in Pampisford.
The Ely site will be staff by a "dedicated" team of volunteers and will open six days a week, with Sunday opening hours planned for later in the year.
Inside the shop, shoppers will be able to find a range of women’s and children’s clothes, menswear, select designer clothing, bric-a-brac, books and media.
Income generation and communications director Jodie Vaughan said: "We are delighted to be opening a new store in the beautiful cathedral city of Ely.
"We have wanted to expand into the north of the county for some time and following the successful opening of our March store in June this year, felt that Ely was naturally the next location to explore.
"Our Hospice at Home team provide outstanding care to the Ely community, and we have always felt incredibly welcome by the people of Ely.
She added: "All the much needed proceeds from the shop will go to support people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition and those who need end of life care. We look forward to welcoming people into the store.“
The charity shop will open from 9.30am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
