A market-favourite coffee roasting company hosted Ely's first-ever coffee festival last weekend.
Silver Oak Coffee held the celebration of "all things coffee" at the Yard on Saturday and Sunday, September 7-8, in a bid to provide a "fun experience" for coffee enthusiasts.
Featuring a range of activities, including tastings and educational sessions, visitors had the chance to explore the rich and varied world of coffee guided by industry experts and passionate artisans.
Across the weekend, visitors were talked through the method that roasters use to taste and test coffees, using a coffee wheel to highlight the different flavour notes of beans grown at different farms.
Silver Oak's Coffee Bus 'Have a Go' sessions saw visitors try the art of latte steaming, while professional baristas from Cambridge, Ely and King's Lynn battled it out in a 'Barista jam'.
The winners took home a selection of prizes, provided by event sponsors, Brewed by Hand, AeroPress, Huskee, Glebe Farm and Mercans.
Prizes included a Wilfa Filter machine and Grinder, and even £300 worth of barista training at the London School of Coffee.

The 'Roast you Own' event was a particular favourite, with visitors given the chance to roast their very own beans using Silver Oak's sample roaster.
Elsewhere local artisans and coffee focussed stalls were on hand to offer demonstrations of coffee products, cakes and treats made with coffee, coffee art, coffee themed games and more.
The Yard Arms served its usual drinks, including Espresso Martinis made with Silver Oak espresso and also a Coffee Stout produced in collaboration with the local Three Blind Mice Brewery.
