Police have launched an investigation after a brick was thrown through the window of a child's bedroom at a home in Ely.
Officers were called to a home in Merlin Drive on Wednesday August 21 with reports that a window had been smashed.
The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "I was sleeping downstairs in my bedroom and heard a crash.
"I immediately looked at my phone, it was 2:47am. I went and checked out the front door and noticed the downstairs window was broken on one side and then went to check on the children upstairs.
"I looked out of my youngest sons room and I noticed a brick had also been thrown at his window.
"He sleeps directly under this window so the consequences could have been far worse."
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “The incident happened at about 2.50am. Nobody was injured and nothing was stolen from the property.”
Anyone with information should contact police via Cambridgeshire Constabulary's website using reference 35/61249/24. Anyone without internet access should call 101.
