Students and staff at an East Cambridgeshire school are celebrating their first set of GCSE results.

This year marks the first set of GCSE results for Vista Academy Littleport, which opened in September last year.

The school, which is part of the Eastern Learning Alliance, saw a number of students achieve grade 9 (A**) and grade 8 (Grade A*).

Some of Vista Academy Littleport's highest performers include:

The school also gave a special mention to Annabelle Greening, Amilia Windsor, Violet Brown, Alexa Weatherall and Anujin Lkhagvajargal, all of whom secured at least one grade higher than their prior attainment had predicted.

Head of school Nick Harrison said: "We are incredibly proud of all our students and the efforts they made to attain their results despite the challenges they have faced in their secondary school career.

"Also, a thank you to the staff for their commitment to support and guide the students and to our parent body for their continued support throughout. A big well done to all our students.

"At Vista we look forward to building on this strong set of results as we move into our second year as a school community.

"We wish everyone the very best of success for their future.”
