A Soham-based theatre group are currently performing at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Viva Arts and Community Group are in Scotland bringing popular musical Legally Blonde and Jane Austen’s novel Sense and Sensibility to life.

Their shows take place this evening and tomorrow (August 17) at Paradise in Augustines, George IV Bridge.

The group of over 60 performers and support crew are performing daily to followers and new audiences alike and receiving stellar reviews.

Commenting on Legally Blonde, Linda said: “Brilliant show! Well worth booking. Full of high energy this drama group gives their all.

“So lovely to see a group who are clearly professional in their approach but are obviously having a great time.”

Sylvia added: “OMG, have just seen this, congratulations to you all you are well worthy of a West End stage.”

Viva’s production of the Kate Hamill adaptation of Sense and Sensibility which is full of humour, emotional depth and bold theatricality, is a further hit in Edinburgh.

Reviewers have hailed it a "must see" and "the best of five plays we’ve seen."

Audience member Melanie added: "Would have paid to see it twice if time allowed.”

Meanwhile, Alan “grinned from ear to ear the entire runtime", adding that the show as "wonderfully performed, very slick and professional”.

The Edinburgh shows follow a sell-out run at The Viva Theatre and two performances at Thorington Theatre, a new outdoor venue nestled in Suffolk woodland.
