An Ely childminder says it is “a privilege” to be awarded the “Outstanding” grade once again in her most recent Ofsted inspection.
Sue Smith runs Sweet Peas Childcare and this latest result means she has achieved the best possible grade every time the education regulator has visited.
In her glowing report, inspector Louisa Taylor describes Sue as a “conscientious childminder” and praises how she interacts with the children in her care.
She was also commended for the activities she organises, how she speaks positively about the children around them and how she helps the youngsters settle into her setting.
The inspector, who visited on July 4, wrote: “The way the childminder champions children's individuality is exemplary.
“Children thrive with endless opportunities to freely express their unique characters.
“High-quality learning experiences are plentiful, and the childminder always shows the utmost care and respect for children.”
She added: “With her extensive knowledge of the early years foundation stage, she expertly provides indoor and outdoor environments that are stimulating, spark tremendous curiosity and help children make connections in all areas of their learning.”

Sue was awarded the "Outstanding” grade in all four areas inspected: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership.
Her dedication to furthering her professional development was also described as “awe-inspiring” by the inspector.
The final report was published on the Ofsted website on July 30.
Sue is well-known in the community for passionately championing early years education and the childminding network.
