A youth centre has received a £1,000 boost from a community group to help meet rising demand.
This financial lifeline was given to Centre 33 in Ely by the Rotary Club of Ely at a recent gathering at Ely Bowling Club.
Since its establishment four decades ago, Centre 33 has offered a confidential space for those under 25 to seek assistance on matters such as mental health, caring responsibilities, housing, and sexual health.
However, with more youngsters relying on their service, Centre 33's representative, Nancy Hogg, emphasised the urgent need for additional support.
The centre operates on the first Tuesday of each month from 1-5pm while its phone, text, and WhatsApp lines are readily available on weekdays and Saturdays.
For further assistance, users can leave a voicemail or email outside of operating hours, ensuring they are never left without help.
The same meeting saw the announcement of Phil Smith as the forthcoming president of the Rotary Club of Ely and the introduction of new member David Coventry.
The club continues to welcome new members, offering opportunities for community involvement.
