Pupils from Witchford Village College have created a community art installation in the village.
The Year 7 and 8 students visited St Andrew's Church, in Witchford, where they worked on the installation in the form of a 'community snake'.
The ground at the church was prepared by the volunteer group who work in the churchyard known as Team D.
Then, each student decorated a pebble with words and pictures that represented community to them on a personal basis. The pebbles were laid down side by side in a long curving line to form the shape of a colourful snake.
While the snake is known as a symbol of temptation and evil as in the story of the Garden of Eden, in other parts of the Bible it also represents healing, salvation, divine authority and the ongoing battle between good and evil.
