An Ely-based designer has created a garden which features in the Royal Horticultural Society's (RHS) latest Festival.

Tim Jennings has designed both private and commercial gardens for 18 years and works in his studio near Anglesey Abbey.

The Ely man has designed a garden, called A Four Season Sanctuary, which is on display at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival from July 2-7.

Tim's garden will be in the "Get Started Gardens" category of the Festival. The category is targeted at home gardeners who want to revamp their gardens in an achievable way.

Tim used traditional materials and drift planting in the garden so that both humans and wildlife can enjoy the garden. The designer is hoping to show people how to make their garden as sustainable as possible for a planet-friendly future.

He's included bug hotels for insects to have their own habitat, and has also designed some hedging to divide up spaces for birdlife to settle into. Tim's also designed areas of the garden for people to use as a wellness zone.

Once the RHS Festival is finished, Tim and his team will relocate the garden to the MENCAP charity headquarters in Watford.

MENCAP is a charity that supports people with learning difficulties and their families, and is a charity that Tim has worked with closely over the years.

Discussing his garden, Tim said: "I am committed to garden design that enhances biodiversity and minimises use of precious resources.

"A Four Seasons Sanctuary demonstrates how sustainability can be prioritised in your gardening alongside refined modern deign."

The RHS Hampton Court Palace Gardens Festival isn't the first time Tim's work has featured on display.

He has also exhibited at the London Garden Show in Alexandra Palace, where he was awarded a Silver Medal and was voted Best Garden in Show in the People's Choice Award.
