Plans have been submitted to East Cambridgeshire District Council to build new homes on a patch of land in a village.
The application, put forward by First Thames Ltd, proposes three new homes to be built on land at Gunton's Close in Soham, specifically, land to the south of 71-79 Gunton's Close.
The "vacant and disused" land could have new homes fit with planted gardens at the front and back of the properties to "enhance the sense of the surrounding neighbourhood", according to the application.
If the plan is approved, the homes will be market housing and will have three bedrooms each. Five new parking bays will also be fitted on the new development.

The plan indicates that the three new homes will be in keeping with the style of the surrounding properties.
Residents on Gunton's Close in Soham have been contacted as part of the neighbour consultation in the planning process. Letters have been sent to the residents.
The determination deadline set by East Cambridgeshire District Council for the planning application is Monday, August 19.
