A member of the learning team at Ely Cathedral has been officially ordained as a priest.
Sarah Newns grew up in Ely and, from the age of 19, studied youth work and theology at Ridley Hall whilst living and working in Peterborough.
10 years ago, she returned to Ely and continued to work with children in various settings, before joining the cathedral as a learning officer.
Having been in the team for six years, Sarah is now developing her full-time ministry in Waterbeach and in the cathedral.
