A leader in the agri-tech sector and a long-term community volunteer – both from the East Cambridgeshire area – were featured in the King’s Birthday Honours list.

Dr Belinda Clarke, from Soham, is the director of Agri-TechE, a membership network that links farmers and growers with scientists, entrepreneurs and investors.

She has led the organisation since its inception and will be awarded the OBE for services to agri-technologies and farming.

Dr Clarke said she is "humbled and honoured” to receive the award and paid tribute “to the inspiring network” that has been established.

“I see this as an accolade not just for myself,” she said, “but also recognition of the contribution that Agri-TechE members’ world-leading science and innovative farming practices are making...”
