A member of the public made a shocking discovery while out on a walk in Ely.
The walker found a large knife which had been left discarded.
After making the discovery, the member of the public visited Ely Police Station and handed the knife into the force.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "Our thanks go to the member of the public who found and handed the knife in.
"Every knife or weapon seized is one that can no longer potentially be used for a criminal purpose."
