A quiz night organised by the Rotary Club of Ely raised £600 to support young people through the local charity Centre 33.

The event took place at St Mary’s Hall on May 17, with the club's president, Viv Doji, selecting Centre 33 as her chosen charity.

The quiz consisted of six teams including NSPCC, Barton Close, Dead Heads, Inner Wheel, Noah, Six in the City, and the Infamous Five.

Phil Smith took on the mantle of quiz master, successfully guiding the participants through six rounds of thought-provoking questions.

The evening commenced with fish and chips, and drinks were available throughout the event.

The money will go towards Centre 33, an Ely-based charity that specialises in supporting young people's wellbeing and offers services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

The support they offer is free, confidential and wholly accessible, as young people are encouraged to self-refer and don't require an appointment.

The charity ensures their assistance is all-encompassing and adaptable, spanning from information provision to 1-1 and group support.

In addition, they signpost and refer individuals to other organisations when needed.
