A community café at a village church celebrated its 10th birthday on Saturday March 2 with a tea party.
More than 90 people visited Haddenham Methodist Church to enjoy tea and cake in celebration of Martha’s Kitchen, which is opens on Monday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 12noon.
Martha’s Kitchen was made possible after a complete reorganisation of the church premises, just prior to the opening of the café.
Barbara Galley, of the team, said: "Martha’s Kitchen has proved a very successful place for everyone in the village and surrounding area where people can meet for refreshments and meeting socially.
"It has an excellent team of volunteers who take turns on a rota and are always willing to chat with anyone who comes along, especially if they are visiting for the first time and are alone.
"We would like to thank everyone who came on Saturday and for the generous donations."
