A traditional family-run barbers will open in an East Cambridgeshire village this week.
G’s Barbers & Men’s Room, which is located at 33 Main Street, Little Downham, will welcome members of the public from Thursday March 7.
The owners are local couple Stacy Groombridge, who used to work in a barber shop in Ely, and Billie-Jo Mills.
Stacy said: "I went on to become a mobile barber, but the costs of traveling became too costly and I was not making much money.
"My friend Daniel Lawrence came along and we set up a plumbing company together, but I was lost as a plumber as my passion was barbering," he added.
"I had spoken about getting back into the barbering but felt I was stuck in a rut."
Stacy and Billie-Jo were offered the shop in little Downham and "it all seemed to feel right so we went with it.
"I qualified as a barber at Cambridge Regional College in 2015 and left the trade in 2018... it’s been a while but we can not wait."
Billie-Jo added: “Lots of hours and a whole family effort is starting to pay off.
“We look forward to welcoming all of ours costumers very soon.
“Thank you to everyone that has been supporting us so far, we really do appreciate it.”
