A national electrical company is shutting one of its Cambridgeshire shops.
Hughes Electrical is closing its Ely store on February 17.
This will result in three members of staff being made redundant, however the company says they have been offered alternative positions.
A spokesperson for Hughes Electrical said: “As a successful company, we have to respond to the rapidly changing ways customers choose to do business with us.
“This has seen an unprecedented increase in the use of our website over the past 12 months.
“Regrettably this has resulted in us having to make difficult decisions; one is the closure of our store in Ely.
“The three members of staff affected have been offered alternative positions within the company.
“For customers who have equipment on rental from the Ely store nothing changes.
“If they do have any questions, they can call our dedicated rental team on 01480 418950.”
