A volunteer built a new greenhouse for a children’s allotment club - only for it to be destroyed overnight in Storm Isha.
Josh Saward, who runs Burwell Allotment Club, said he was “heartbroken” when he discovered the strong winds had battered the structure.
His sister Harriet launched a GoFundMe page to help and £580 has been raised to get the project back on track for when the club restarts in March.

Josh said: “I’m so grateful for all the donations and offers of help to get the greenhouse built for allotment club.
“I spent the last four months planning and building the project. I finished the greenhouse last week, just before the storm.
“I was heartbroken when I heard it had been destroyed. I didn’t know how I was going to get everything back on track.
“But I now feel hopeful we may be able to get another greenhouse for the spring.”
Josh launched Burwell Allotment Club last year and it has nine members aged between five and 12.
The club maintains a plot in Green Lane and is part of the Burwell Allotment and Garden Society.
Josh, who works in horticulture and landscaping, said: “I teach the kids how to grow a range of 30 different fruits and vegetables.
“I also try to talk to them about wildlife, such as hedgehogs, and we make bat boxes and bird houses.
“It fills me with such pride when you see how much they enjoy themselves.
“It’s important for children to be outdoors, they all have their own responsibilities here and have grown in confidence since coming to the club.
“They also get to enjoy the food they grow. For some, the club has helped them realise how delicious home-grown fruit and veg can be.”
Burwell Allotment Club’s open day is on March 2 between 10am and 1pm for prospective new members to have a look around. Contact Josh on 07471 890280 for more information.
