A joy-spreading army of 35 volunteers are looking forward to providing festive meals for the local community again this year.
Ely Cathedral Canon James Reveley leads the Ely Community Lunches team, which offers Christmas dinners at a subsidised cost.
He said: "We want to give people a really nice Christmas experience and spread a bit of joy.
"Some people come to us for fun, some find that money is tight and others find themselves alone over the festive period."
Canon Reveley said the volunteers also drive the meals to people who can't get out.
"They get exactly the same food as the people on the day," he added.
Business who have already donated money include Masters Logistics.
There are two different subsidised dinner options that people can choose from.
Option one: Gather together on Christmas Day
The traditional Christmas Day meal - turkey and all the trimmings - will be served simultaneously at The Lighthouse Church, Ely Methodist Church and The Cathedral’s Almonry Restaurant.
The main course is prepared by a professional chef and served by a team of volunteers. The meals are available at a subsidised cost of £10 each.
Option two: Let us bring lunch to you
The team delivers festive meals on Christmas Eve for people to store cold and heat up the following day.
Meals are delivered within a four-mile radius of the centre of Ely. These meals are also £10 each and delivered free of charge.
The team is also welcoming donations to help them provide free meals for those who are most feeling the financial pinch.
Canon James Reveley said: "The lunch is for everyone and anyone.
"We do our best to ensure that everyone at our sit-down meals has a happy time with a warm welcome, live music, plentiful food, a visit from Father Christmas and a goody bag to take home.
"Many of those who have enjoyed the Christmas lunch in the past were individuals or families who were struggling financially with the demands of the festive season.
"Some were facing spending Christmas on their own and a few were living on the streets. Ely Community Lunches works alongside Ely Foodbank, Age UK and the Lighthouse Centre who recommend to us people who might benefit from complementary meals.
"We are grateful for the support we receive from our wonderful team of volunteers and from local charities and supermarkets.
"Any excess donated foodstuffs are passed on to the Ely Foodbank or Ely Pantry.
"We hope that you can share with us in this project and join the celebrations."
