An inquest has opened into the death of a man who died in a collision on the A142 Soham bypass.
Kevin Boswell, 77, died on the morning of November 6 when the car he was driving was involved in a two-vehicle collision.
Police later said Mr Boswell, from Burwell, was driving a black Mini which collided with an HGV.
Simon Milburn, one of the area coroners for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, opened the inquest at Peterborough Town Hall on Thursday (November 23).
At the brief hearing, Mr Milburn explained Mr Boswell’s death was confirmed at the scene by doctors from the Magpas Air Ambulance.
The inquest was then adjourned for a future date.
The driver of the HGV involved in the collision was uninjured.
