A disqualified driver has been jailed for five months after he used fraudulent number plates to drive a vehicle.
Joe Taylor, 36, was driving a silver Ford Mondeo on the A142 near Soham on October 8.
Road policing officers noticed his erratic driving and checked the number plate, which came back as belonging to a red Toyota.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: “Taylor was stopped and found to be disqualified from driving with no insurance. In custody he failed to provide an evidential sample for analysis.”
Taylor, of Saffron Piece, Sutton, pleaded guilty to failing to provide, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified and fraudulent use of a number plate.
He was jailed at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court the next day and was also handed a further three-year disqualification.
