The public and councillors from Ely City Council have been enjoying the visual feast of artwork from the 'A Matter of Taste' exhibition at the Babylon Gallery in Ely.
Last year's Mayor and Mayoress of Ely, Cllr Richard and Jane Morgan, were "delighted" to be invited to the exhibition and meet with young curator Nancy Mead.
Nancy has taken the universal topic of food and translated it into a delicious exhibition featuring a selection of artists who work in a variety of styles, exploring this theme.
‘A Matter of Taste’ explores the aesthetics of food in a mouth-watering display of paintings, photography and sculpture.
A spokesperson for the City of Ely Council said: "The inaugural curatorial exhibition brings together an exciting range of artwork that is accessible and engaging, exploring a universal theme that everyone can relate to.
"Ely City Council continue to support the arts in Ely both here and at the cinema in The Maltings."
Nancy, who is an Ely resident, said ahead of the opening of the gallery: "Food can be a reflection of self, family, memories and heritage.
