The cause of a fire in Soham on Wednesday (October 11) has been confirmed.
A crew from Ely was called to a fire in the open on Great Fen Road in Soham at 1:40pm.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue said: “Firefighters arrived to find an out of control bonfire involving waste wood and hedging.
“The crew used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire before returning to their station by 3.10pm.
“The cause of the fire was accidental.”
