The Rotary Club of Ely has been going for more than 80 years and is always looking for new members.
The club is known for its contribution to the city's Aquafest event, the house-to-house Christmas collection which take place every year and the collections in Ely High Street and at the Ely Fireworks.
Members support the Eel parade, Applefest, Pride and other many other community events.
It is also involved in international events such as Tools with a Mission and ShelterBox.
A new system has been established to provide variety and interest to the programme.
This includes having one or two speakers a month, a business meeting, and a social, dining out evening.
The club also plans to have an open evening, when people are invited to come and share drinks and nibbles at the Ely Bowls Club. This will take place on Thursday September 28 at 8pm.
Please contact the president if you are interested in attending this event.
If you are interested in joining the Rotary Club in its new programme, contact: Rev Bernard Arnold via email: revbernard@hotmail.com or the president, Viv Doji, via vclariced@hotmail.com
