A private fishing lake could be built as part of a new home, if plans submitted to East Cambridgeshire District Council are approved.
The lake – which will be built on a site of just under 2.6-acres – would be connected to a home which already has outline planning permission at 107, The Row, in Sutton.
The proposals were submitted by Mr P Hutchinson, of Swann Edwards Architecture and received by the planning department on May 22.
A design and access statement with the application says: “As there are no associated buildings proposed and the fishing lake will be for private use only, not business or commercial.
“As such there will be limited impact on neighbouring amenities.”
Outline plans for a home next to the lake were approved last year.
The application for the property – originally submitted in 2018 by the executors of the estate of R. Smith – was initially for three homes.
