An Ely apprentice has been named as the 'learner of the year' in a national competition.
Nathan Pawsey, aged 21, won learner of the year 2023 in a national competition in Coventry run by Sparks magazine.
Nathan is now coming to the end of his electrician apprenticeship with Stephen Rutterford Electrical and Cambridge Regional College.
The first stage of the competition was a regional one-day event, which he won in Birmingham in March. He then took part in a UK winners event in Coventry in April.
Nathan picked up a £1,000 cheque and won a total of £3,000 in cash and tools over the two events.
