The new mayor of Ely has been announced as Cllr Chris Phillips and he says he wants to "connect with the commuity".
An annual meeting of the City of Ely Council was held at The Maltings on May 15 when the decision to elect Cllr Phillips was made.
His mayoress for the mayoral term is Mary Rone,
Speaking after his appointment, Cllr Phillips said he was enormously proud to take on the role.
He said, along with the mayoress, his emphasis would be on "involvement" and connecting with the city's vibrant community life.
