A community cafe in Sutton donated nearly £1,800 to two charitable causes at their presentation day.
Every six months, the volunteers at Nellie's Community Cafe choose two charities to support.
Since November, the cafe has been supporting Royal Papworth Hospital Charity and Friends of Sutton School (FOSS).
Customers vote each time they visit to which charity they wish to support. The profits made are then divided between the charities according to the vote.
Members of Friends of Sutton School received a cheque for £575 and £1,190 was presented to Royal Papworth Hospital Charity on Wednesday May 10.
Eleanor Speed, of Royal Papworth Hospital Charity, said: “We are blown away by the support and generosity of everyone at Nellie's.
“This incredible donation will be used to support Royal Papworth Hospital in transforming the care and treatments for our patients living with heart and lung disease.
“Thank you so much Nellie's, you are truly amazing.”
Beccy Ogston, secretary of FOSS, said: “This money will make a huge difference to the pupils at Sutton Primary School.
“It will be used to update and rejuvenate the school library with new books and cosy reading corners. Hopefully it will inspire a life long love of reading.”
The next two charities to receive Nellie's support are Sutton Open Spaces and Alzheimer's Society.
Nellie's Community Cafe is held on the second Wednesday and last Friday of each month at Scott Court, Pound Lane, Sutton from 10am to 2pm.
