Artist Ted Coney is set to reopen his pop-up gallery in his 300-year-old cottage on Waterside in Ely for the new season beginning in early May.
He has been making paintings about family life for more than 50 years and since coming to Ely has given guided tours around his work to countless visitors.
"Everyone is part of a family," said Ted, "So I think there will be something most people can relate to in my pictures."
While none of the work is for sale, Ted selects several of his paintings to discuss on each tour, which usually lasts about an hour.
This year, Ted is working on a painting entitled ‘The Counsellor’ and has been making studies of the boat hoist near his home to inspire his ideas.
His work so far on this project can be seen in his studio as part of the tour. Details on how to book a tour are on his website at: www.tedconeysfamilyportraits.co.uk
