A health chief has reassured patients that she will continue battling for a permanent solution as a village surgery building was saved.
There had been doubt over whether Priors Field Surgery in Sutton would still deliver healthcare services due to ongoing leasing arrangements between NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and the building’s owner.
But Jan Thomas, chief executive officer of the NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care System, confirmed that services will be delivered from the general practice.
In a letter to patients, Ms Thomas wrote: "We're pleased to confirm that Malling Health [will] deliver primary care services for the patients of Priors Field Surgery under a caretaker [12-month] contract from April 1 from the same location as before.

“We are committed to keep working with the local community to ensure Sutton and surrounding areas continue to have primary care services that meet their needs now and in the future.”
Ms Thomas added: “Patients can continue to access the practice and services as they do now via the existing number on 01353 778208 or via the new practice website: www.priorsfieldsurgery.nhs.uk.”
