The Rt Hon Lucy Frazer, MP for South East Cambridgeshire, visited homeowners at Roslyn Court, the retirement community on Lisle Lane in Ely, earlier this month (February).
Roslyn Court is a retirement living plus development by McCarthy Stone and includes 58 private apartments for people aged 70 and over, designed for independent living.
Ms Frazer met the homeowners, spoke with the on-site team and toured the development, which opened in 2018.
She was joined on the visit by McCarthy Stone’s Chief Executive John Tonkiss and Andrew Driver, McCarthy Stone’s Estate Manager who runs Roslyn Court.
Ms Frazer said: “It is important that we provide appropriate housing and care for older people when they need a bit more support in their later years.
“I was pleased to see all those living at Roslyn Court were enjoying life at the development.
“It was a pleasure to meet them and the estate management team, and learn about the benefits that retirement communities like this bring to local people in my constituency.”
John added: “We were delighted that Ms Frazer was able to take the time and visit Roslyn Court.
“All of our homeowners really enjoyed meeting her; they discussed the quality of life they have in the development, how it helps them maintain their independence, as well as other topical issues in the local area.”
