Here are three of the most exciting events coming to the Cambridge Junction this month.
HOME X - Wednesday 15 & Thursday 16 February
Gaming, virtual reality technology, music and breakdance combine in a cutting-edge new show which live links performers thousands of miles apart.
Mythological yet futuristic, HOME X is a visually stunning virtual world connecting performers in Cambridge and Hong Kong in real-time, using depth-sensing cameras which capture video in 3D.
With original live electronic music by An-Ting 安婷 in the UK, soprano Colette Lam in Hong Kong, and live breakdance by Si Rawlinson in Cambridge and Suen Nam in Hong Kong, Home X explores themes of roots and belonging, destruction and renewal.
It also features moving real-life testimony of home and migration, including stories shared by Cambridge residents.

Rob Auton: The Crowd Show - Friday 17 February
Suitable for anybody who has been in a crowd or wants to be in the crowd for this show, ‘The Crowd Show’ is a comedy/theatre/spoken-word show about crowds, people and connection.
Award-winning writer, actor and podcaster Rob Auton, named the ‘Brian Cox of Comedy’ by The Guardian, has written eight hit Edinburgh Fringe shows, which have led to nationwide tours and television/radio appearances.
He has also had four collections of poetry and illustrations published by Burning Eye Books and Harper Collins.
In 2020, Rob started ‘The Rob Auton Daily Podcast’. The podcast went on to amass over two million listens and win a gold award for Best Daily Podcast at the British Podcast Awards.

Max Cooper - Thursday 23 February
Max Cooper has carved a unique space as an audio-visual artist with a science PhD and an international reputation as a leading electronic musician.
His work carries an emotional resonance and sensory immersion, often focusing on humanity’s place in the world.
He merges electronic music and visual art with scientific enquiry through installations, live performance, immersive audio-visual experiences, a range of digital media and award-winning music videos.
Unspoken Words is Cooper’s sixth studio album and his most revealing work to date, leading the listener through experiences of escapism and connection with personal stories of reflection, acceptance, grappling, idealism and rejection.
He recently supplied the music for a powerful video narrated by Greta Thunberg and Pope Francis and played at COP26, urging world leaders to consider climate and environment in Covid recovery plans. Last year, he became the first techno artist to play at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece.
