A primary school pupil has been announced as MP Lucy Frazer’s Christmas card competition.
Ms Frazer, MP for South East Cambridgeshire, confirmed that Scarlet of The Weatheralls Primary School in Soham had won the yearly event thanks to her multi-coloured entry.
Writing on her Facebook page, Ms Frazer said: “Congratulations to Scarlet for her fantastically festive multi-coloured Christmas tree design, which will be my 2022 Christmas card.
“A special mention and well done to Leigh-Ann from The Hope Tree School, Impington and Albert from the Linton Heights Junior School have been named as first and second runners-up, respectively.”
Ms Frazer, who has run the competition for eight years, presented prime minister Rishi Sunak with a Christmas card featuring all three designs.
Children from reception to year six in South East Cambridgeshire can enter the competition, where each entrant submits their own design on a sheet of A4 paper with a chance of appearing on Ms Frazer’s card.
