A popular art exhibition is set to return, promising a diverse display of stunning creations.
Babylon Gallery's annual Summer Open exhibition is back, shedding light on an array of work - from painting and photography to ceramics, woodwork, and beyond.
The exhibition reopens its doors on August 2 at Babylon Gallery.
The Summer Open, a yearly festival of artistic creations, features pieces by both local talents and artists further afield.
Following a public call for submissions, a secretive panel selected pieces for a balanced and dynamic exhibition.
This year's illustrious selection panel included South London artist, writer and poet, Jay Morally; Peterborough visual artist, Madhu Manipatruni, currently in residence at Peterborough Asylum and Refugee Community Association; and local artist Stuart Green, Babylon's trusted exhibition installer and trustee.
Nearly 300 artworks were presented for approval, making the task for the panel excruciating.
The final selection, however, comprises 115 pieces from 83 talented artists.
It features a vibrant mix of two and three-dimensional works.
The exhibition visitors can expect an eclectic variety from portraits, florals, landscapes, abstracts, geomatric patterns, wildlife and seascapes, in diverse styles and mediums.
In essence, an exhibition that promises to cater to every art enthusiast!
The Babylon ARTS Summer Open Exhibition 2024 will run from August 2 through September 1, accessible from Tuesday to Sunday, between 12pm to 4pm.
Entry is free for visitors.
