A Cambridgeshire police officer has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
The alleged rape is understood to have taken place in 2021.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police told The Hunts Post the officer had been arrested by Bedfordshire Police.
They said: "A Cambridgeshire officer was arrested on suspicion of rape by Bedfordshire on July 15 and has been released on bail while an investigation takes place.
"It would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage."
It is understood the officer hasn't been suspended.
